A Florida Marriage License is required prior to the wedding ceremony! For your convenience, here are instructions on how to get your license from any county in the state of Florida:
- Both the groom and the bride must go in person at the same time to a Florida County Courthouse to obtain a license.
- You will both need to provide two forms of identification.
- If previously married, the exact date of death, divorce or annulment of the last marriage is required.
- The Florida marriage license presently costs $93.50, payable by cash, cashier's check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. The courthouse will not accept business or personal checks.
- Blood tests are not required.
- The State of Florida requires a three-day waiting period for Florida residents. Marriage ceremonies can only be performed on or after the effective date printed on the license.
- Non-residents have no waiting period to get their Marriage License.
