A Florida Marriage License is required prior to the wedding ceremony!
For your convenience, here are instructions on how to get your license from any county in the state of Florida:
Both the groom and the bride must go in person at the same time to a Florida County Courthouse to obtain a license. You will both need to provide two forms of identification. If previously married, the exact date of death, divorce or annulment of the last marriage is required.
The Florida marriage license presently costs $93.50, payable by cash, cashier's check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. The courthouse will not accept business or personal checks. Blood tests are not required. The State of Florida requires a three-day waiting period for Florida residents. Marriage ceremonies can only be performed on or after the effective date printed on the license. Non-residents have no waiting period to get their Marriage License.
